Leather Care — Mobile Service in Broward County, FL
Cracked, faded, sticky leather isn't inevitable. The right cleaning and conditioning routine keeps it soft, protected, and looking right — even in South Florida's heat.

Leather seats in a Florida car go through more stress than almost anywhere else. The interior temperature on a parked car in Broward County in July can exceed 160°F. That heat dries leather out rapidly, breaking down the oils in the material and causing it to stiffen, fade, and eventually crack. UV exposure accelerates the process even through glass. Most people don't notice until the cracking is significant — at which point damage control is the only option.
Regular leather treatment prevents all of that. Clean leather that's properly conditioned and UV-protected maintains its softness, doesn't crack, doesn't develop that sticky texture that comes from drying out in the heat, and holds its color significantly better than untreated leather.
Leather treatment involves three steps: cleaning, conditioning, and protecting. First, we remove the grime, body oils, and product buildup that accumulate on leather surfaces over time using a pH-appropriate leather cleaner. Then we apply a leather conditioner that restores the moisture and oils the heat has been pulling out of the material. Finally, we apply a UV-protective coating that blocks the sun from accelerating deterioration through the windows.
This is not the same as wiping leather seats with an interior spray. Consumer-grade interior sprays often leave leather greasy, sticky, or with a shiny artificial appearance. We use professional leather care products that clean and condition without altering the surface texture or leaving a slick residue.
We inspect all leather surfaces for cracks, fading, perforations, and stitching condition before we start. This tells us what cleaning intensity and which products are appropriate for this specific leather.
Using a leather-safe cleaner and soft brushes, we work through all surfaces — seats, backs, sides, headrests, door panels, and the steering wheel. Body oils and grime that are invisible to the eye build up over time and need to come out before conditioning can be effective.
We apply a leather conditioner that penetrates the material and replenishes the oils that Florida's heat removes. This is what keeps leather soft and prevents future cracking.
A UV-blocking leather protector applied after conditioning guards against sun bleaching and accelerated drying through the glass. This step matters year-round in South Florida.

We Know Florida Leather. Heat and UV are the main enemies of leather in this climate. Every product we use is chosen specifically to address those conditions.
No Sticky Residue. The professional products we use condition without leaving greasy or sticky surfaces. Your leather should feel like leather, not like it's been coated in something.
Catches Problems Early. Regular leather treatment allows us to spot developing cracks or fading before they become major damage.

Leather treatment is most effective as part of a complete interior service. Pair it with an interior shampoo for the carpet and fabric, and you'll leave with an interior that's been fully cleaned and protected. Ask about combining leather treatment with a full interior package.
Minor surface cracking can sometimes be improved with conditioning and filler products. Significant cracking and peeling are much harder to address and typically require professional leather repair or re-dyeing, which is beyond the scope of detailing. The earlier leather is maintained, the better — waiting until it's cracked significantly limits what's achievable.
Every 3–4 months is a reasonable cadence for Florida's climate. Heat accelerates the drying process significantly compared to cooler climates, so conditioning more frequently than the national average recommendation makes sense here.
Yes. Perforated leather requires care with liquid products to avoid saturation of the foam beneath the perforations. We use appropriate product volumes and application methods for perforated surfaces.
Yes, with different products than genuine leather. We identify the material type before selecting products and won't use genuine leather conditioners on synthetic surfaces that don't need them.
