Florida Rigs Need More Than a Rinse

RVs and travel trailers parked in South Florida face a specific problem: they sit in intense UV exposure for long stretches of time, often without the protection of a covered carport or garage. The roof fades and develops mold. The sidewalls go chalky. Decals crack. The interior accumulates dust and humidity-driven grime. Most RV owners know it needs attention — but the sheer size of the vehicle makes it feel like a project you keep putting off.

Gloss Genesis Detailing handles RVs with the same professional approach as any other vehicle — just scaled up. We come to your RV park, your storage lot, your driveway, or wherever the rig is sitting. You don't move it, you don't drive it to a shop. We bring everything needed for a proper detail and do the work on-site.

What Is RV Detailing?

RV detailing covers the exterior and interior of motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and camper vans. The exterior involves a thorough wash, roof cleaning (where mold and algae accumulate significantly in Florida's humidity), oxidation removal from the sidewalls and fiberglass, polishing, and application of a protective sealant or coating to the entire surface.

The interior of an RV is essentially a small home — and gets cleaned like one. Carpet, upholstery, kitchen surfaces, bathroom, storage compartments, and all interior trim are cleaned and treated. We pay specific attention to areas that trap moisture and develop mildew in Florida's climate, which causes odors and surface damage if left unaddressed.

Our Process

01

Roof Inspection & Cleaning

The roof is often the most neglected part of an RV. We start there — cleaning off algae, mold, and oxidation from the roof surface and inspecting the seals and caulking while we're up there. A clean roof is also the first step before a proper wash, since you don't want roof runoff contaminating sidewalls you've already cleaned.

02

Exterior Wash & Oxidation Treatment

Full exterior wash, then we address oxidation on the sidewalls with compound and polisher. Chalky, faded fiberglass can be significantly improved with the right product and technique. We work panel by panel down the length of the rig.

03

Polish & Protection

After correction, we apply a quality sealant or coating to protect the surface and add gloss. For larger rigs, a ceramic coating is worth discussing — the surface area is large but so is the protection payoff.

04

Interior Detailing

Every interior surface gets attention — floor, upholstery, kitchenette, bathroom, storage areas, windows inside and out. We clean like we're turning over a rental property — nothing missed.

Why Choose Gloss Genesis for RV Detailing

  • We Come to the Rig. Moving a large motorhome just to get it detailed is a hassle. We make it simple by coming to wherever it's parked.

  • We Scale Our Equipment to the Job. An RV isn't a car. The product volumes, time commitment, and equipment needs are different. We prepare accordingly.

  • Mold and Oxidation Are Our Specialty. Florida's climate creates specific problems for RV surfaces. We deal with them the right way, not with a pressure washer and a prayer.

If you're spending significant time and money to restore your RV's exterior, protect that investment with a ceramic coating applied to the sidewalls and roof. In Florida's climate, the ROI on ceramic coating for a vehicle that lives outside year-round is significant. Ask us about RV coating options at booking.

FAQs RV Detailing

Do you detail all sizes of RVs?

Yes — class A, B, and C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and camper vans. We'll give you pricing based on the size and the scope of work needed.

Can you come to an RV park or storage facility?

Yes. As long as the facility allows outside vendors on the property, we can come to you. It's worth checking with the facility beforehand, but most RV parks have no issue with it.

How do you handle the roof on a tall motorhome?

We bring appropriate ladders and extension tools to safely access and clean the roof on taller Class A and Class C motorhomes. Roof cleaning is included in our standard RV detail process.

How often should an RV be detailed?

In Florida's climate, at least once a year — ideally twice if the rig is used frequently or parked in direct sun. The combination of UV and humidity makes annual detailing a practical necessity, not just cosmetic upkeep.
